My maternal grandfather J. W. Stieneker was a photographer who lived from 1902 to 1967. He photographed people and streets in Amsterdam from the 1930s to the 1960s and won lots of prizes with his work.
I created this blog to showcase the photographic work of my grandfather.
Currently I am in the process of sorting out and restoring a small part  of the huge collection of black and white negatives he has  left as a legacy.

The museum of Photography FOMU in Antwerp, Belgium has some works by my grandfather in its collection.

My name is Masakazu. I live in Japan. I am impressed by the photograph which your grandfather took. My use camera is the 1950s, too. I intend to live by loving photographs like your grandfather.

I am glad that I was able to get to know by a photograph. Thank you so much!
